When Tears Fall
So much sadness in a world with so much to be grateful for,
So much hate in a world with so much to love,
We are born to live and yet born to die,
The greatest danger to our very existence is dullness and lies,
The lies we tell ourselves to keep getting up in the morning,
The truth behind those lies is so much more dangerous than the fables we weave,
And yet, those fables are what keep us standing and breathing each and every day,
Do you know what it means to live in the darkness of pain? The kind of pain that scorches through your bones and takes your breath away? Or the kind that screams in your head like an air raid siren with no end in sight.
No one feels the scorching but you and no one hears the sirens but you and when your tears fall pooling up around your feet no one sees you drowning.
