Baseless Fears

When once we faced alone the soft and quiet shore,

And in the light of Angels we come together once more,

And heaven and earth beseech us to care
Free will and power lay our souls bare,

Our once delightful spark of life that took youthful root
Is now dull and choking on hates soot,

Narcissism takes hold of our very senses
Fueled by ignorance deafening,relentless,

Little children, little children don't you see your harm,

Calling yourselves spiritual while knawing on God's arm,

And from your protests and marches comes the wails and yell,

Your misguided rage is the cage of your hell.

Hush now sweet child, embrace your tears,

Your hate of us is just baseless fears.
