I Never Thought...
I never thought I would live in a time when war would be waged upon my nation's shores, and yet, here we are.
We have riots in the streets over men being shot, sometimes justified and sometimes not.
We have a presidential election underway with a candidate who thrives on ignorance and fans the flames of hate and fear and people love it.
The [Christian] Bible says we reap what we sow, how true this is. Today we have gurus telling us...warning us that what we think and feel and say is what we manifest in our lives; which is to say, we reap what we sow.
If we disrespect our nation we will bring disrespect unto ourselves.
I see it everyday in my work, people not caring about themselves or others or even the processes in place that give us our rights and our freedoms and yet they always demand respect for their rights.
I never thought I would live in a world where people show up to court in their pajamas and flags and churches are burned and everyone is afraid of everyone else.
I never thought I would see us as no more evolved than the middle ages when innocent were burned and tortured because of baseless fears.
I never thought I would live in such a world.
The media reports the horrifying events. There is and are a lot of good happening out there. Don't get misled and jaded by what you experience ( a he'll of a lot easier said than done )! There are millions of people mobilizing globally for the justice, equality and for a better world! Fight getting drawn into the darkness. I see your trauma, emotional pain and fear. I feel it too, I am knocked down again and again, but I continue to stand up to take action, even though I don't see any improvement I know I inspire a few others to do the same and they inspire a few others mor and the movement grows. As long as I breathe I struggle for the generations to come I stand up the best I can manage for our Devine mother of all life fed to us by the sun light Earth is that upon we exist and must protect if we are to breathe.
