The only reason I see for people to want a gun is to protect themselves from other people, and this would simply not be necessary if we humans were not such a monumental failure as a species.
Erecting sky scrapers and space stations, assembling automobiles and creating THINGS like the internet are not testamemts to our greatness, they are examples of how further and further detached we have become from what is important and why we are here on this planet.
