30 Seconds

8 men, 6 feet apart, 30 bullets, 30 seconds and 3 men dead.
Sounds like a typical news headline on any given day.
Law Enforcement backed their opponents into an enclosed area and opened fire.
After all was said and done the family members of the dead filed formal charges upon the Officers, but the Officers walked away badges in tact.
Were the dead men criminals? Were they guilty of something...anything? Perhaps.
Were they in the act of committing a crime at the time of their deaths? No.
Did they deserve to die in that ambush? No again and yet the Officers were exhaulted to hero status and the 3 dead? Well, the 30 seconds that ended their lives touched off a murderous rampage that spanned half a nation.
30 seconds is all it takes to change the course of history and history keeps repeating itself.
